Barbara Quick is a poet, novelist and journalist based on a small farm and vineyard north of San Francisco. A chapbook of her poems, "The Bus to Appolonía," was co-winner of the 2020 Blue Light Press Poetry Prize, and will be published next year. Barbara's poems are included in four anthologies and have appeared in a dozen journals. Her essays and book reviews have been published in the New York Times, Newsweek, the San Francisco Chronicle and Ms. Barbara's first book, Northern Edge: A Novel, won the Discover: Great New Writers Prize. Her second novel, Vivaldi's Virgins, which was first published by HarperCollins in 2007 and is still in print, has been translated into 12 languages and was made into an audiobook last year. "What Disappears," her fourth novel, will be published by Regal House in 2022.
