Barbara Quick's fourth novel was published by Regal House in 2022, in the same month that a poem of hers appeared as a full-page spread in Scientific American. Five of her poems were recorded in 2021 by Garrison Keillor and featured on The Writer's Almanac. With poems in half a dozen anthologies in the U.S. and abroad, she was awarded the 2020 Blue Light Press Poetry Prize for her chapbook, The Light on Sifnos. Her second novel, Vivaldi's Virgins (2007: HarperCollins, still in print), was made into an audiobook and has been translated into 13 languages. Quick has been the featured guest four times on Grace Cavalieri’s podcast from the Library of Congress, "The Poet & the Poem." Her first novel, Northern Edge, won the Discover: Great New Writers Prize. Tikkun Olam will be, when it's published, her debut full-length poetry collection. A native of California, Barbara Quick is now based in Sherman, Connecticut, where she writes poems and a SubStack column ("Life-boat Made of Words") and is working on her next novel.
