Sandra Evans Falconer is a writer, author, poet and playwright with over 20 years of diversified experience in the literary arts field. She is a recipient of an of Individual Artist Award in Poetry from the Maryland State Arts Council. Sandra is also the author of two poetry chapbooks, Absent Sisters, (Dragonfly Press, 1994), and Imagining the World, (Gateway Press, 1998), as well as a full length collection, The Six o'clock Siren, (Otter Bay Books, 2009). Sandra holds an MFA in Writing (poetry), from Spalding. She also holds graduate degrees in social work, (The University of Maryland School of Social Work & Community Planning), as well as in dramatic arts from West Virginia University Her poems have also been adapted for the stage, for the Washington D.C. Playwrights Festival. Sandra was co-presenter, along with Source Theater, for an adaptation of her work f (The Six o'clock Siren), for the 2004 Page to Stage Festival at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
