Kendra Kopelke is a poet and founding editor of Passager, a Baltimore-based independent press with a national reputation. Passager's vision is to combat ageism by demonstrating the extraordinary imagination and creativity of and empowering older writers. Over the past 30-plus years, Passager has published 76 journals and over 35 books of poetry, short fiction, and memoir by writers 50 and older, and produces a weekly podcast, Burning Bright, featuring work by Passager authors. Founding director the MFA in Creative Writing & Publishing Arts at the University of Baltimore she is also author of several books of poetry, including Eager Street, Bladderville, and Hopper's Women, about the paintings of Edward Hopper.
