Mike Maggio has published fiction, poetry, travel, translations and reviews in Potomac Review, The Montserrat Review, Pleiades, Apalachee Quarterly, The Northern Virginia Review, The L.A. Weekly, The Washington CityPaper, Beltway Quarterly, Pig Iron, DC Poets Against the War., Washington Independent Review of Books and others. He is the author of 8 books including Oranges From Palestine (Mardi Gras Press, 1996) , deMOCKcracy (Plain View Press, 2007) and The Keepers (March Street Press 2011). His novel, The Wizard and the White House, was released in 2014 by Little Feather Books and his newest poetry collection, Garden of Rain, was released in May 2015. His newest book is a novella entitled The Appointment, which was released by Vine Leaves Press in May 2017. He is an assistant adjunct professor at Northern Virginia Community College, an associate editor at Potomac Review, a graduate of George Mason University?s MFA program in Creative Writing and the Northern Regional Vice-President of the Poetry Society of Virginia.
