Baltimorean David Beaudouin is a widely published poet, educator, and editor. He was the founder of Tropos Press (1976-2001), one of the region’s earliest independent literary presses, as well as the literary magazine THE PEARL (1980-2001). He is the author of seven books of poetry, most recently Afters (Bowerbox Press, 2024) and On Down the Line (UnCollected Press, 2026), which features a 30-year selection of his work. David’s poem “Annunciation” was selected for inclusion in The Best American Poetry 2025. His Substack newsletter, NY Poets :: IOU, has featured conversations with poets Elinor Nauen, Michael Lally, Maureen Owen, and Tony Towle, among others.
Geoffrey Himes’ poetry has been published by Best American Poetry, December, Gianthology, Innisfree, Gargoyle and other publications. He has written about popular music for the Washington Post, New York Times, Downbeat, Rolling Stone and many more since 1977. His book, In-Law Country: How Emmylou Harris, Rosanne Cash and Their Circle Fashioned a New Kind of Country Music, was published in 2024, followed by his book, Willie Nelson: The Stories Behind the Music, in 2025. His two books of collaborative poems with Grace Cavalieri, Fables from Italy and Beyond and The Third Voice, were published in 2025. His first book of solo poems, Today I Am an Orphan: The Shorter Poems of Geoffrey Himes, arrived in 2026.
